Practice History
We are a three-doctor practice working from the Sedlescombe and Westfield Surgeries.
We are pleased to accept patients from within our practice area - Sedlescombe,
Westfield, Broad Oak, Brede, Three Oaks, Battle (east of the High Street), Whatlington,
Cripp's Corner, Staplecross and Ewhurst Green.
Under the new GMS contract, patients are registered with the practice rather
than an individual GP and you are free to consult whoever you feel can help you
best at the time. However, patients may have to wait longer to see their chosen
practitioner. We offer advanced access appointments every weekday, so that you
can be seen on the day you want to be seen. These appointments may not be booked
in advance, so please ring the surgery between 8.30 and 10.00am for an appointment
on that day. If the surgery is extremely busy, we would appreciate non-urgent
appointments waiting until the next day if at all possible. There are some pre-bookable
appointments for all surgeries, including well person checks, surgical procedures
and children’s clinics. We prefer to see you at the surgery at which you
are registered but if you need to be seen urgently we will always see you at
the other surgery. In this case, please make sure that the receptionist realises
when you arrive that you are registered at our other surgery.
Where you need to speak briefly to the doctor (to discuss matters other than
those which may involve a home visit), you may telephone at the end of morning
surgery at 11.30am. You must always speak to the doctor on duty at the surgery
at which you are registered.
This is not currently a training practice.
