On some days of the week, the practice recruits the help of locum GPs to run clinics as well.

Staff
Practice Management
Mr Keith Newman and Mrs Georgina Cook are our practice managers and run the administration
side of the practice. If you are concerned about any aspect of the care you receive
in the practice, or have any suggestions, they are happy to talk to you between
9.00am and 3.00pm. Please telephone for an appointment.
The Surgery Team
We would not cope without a range of staff. We choose people we hope are helpful
and interested in you as a person. Everyone is bound by strict rules of confidentiality.
Practice Nurses
Our practice nurses Hilary Coleman, Jill Jarrett and Sarah Tidy are all RGNs.
They will perform immunisations, dressings and give advice on preventative care.
They run clinics to help our patients with asthma, diabetes, blood pressure,
cholesterol problems and smoking cessation advice and support.
Health Care Assistants
Our health care assistants are Kim Tullet, Brenda White and Wendy Goodchild. They help the practice nurses with routine work such as the taking of blood, ECGs and some types of vaccinations.
District Nurses
When there is a problem that requires nursing supervision at home we can call
on a team of community nurses. Messages for them can be left at the surgery and
will be picked up daily. The nursing team is led by a district nurse who has
undertaken specialist training after qualifying as a registered nurse. She/he leads a team of staff nurses and nursing auxiliaries and is responsible for
the overall management of all patients cared for at home. Telephone: 01424 756451.
Health Visitor
Alison Lees has responsibility for the under fives and their parents and is also
able to advise on all health issues. You can contact Alison at her office (details below) or you can leave a written message for her at the Westfield Surgery.
